This wonderful trail will take you on a journey through North East Norfolk’s maritime history, providing insights into the lives of fishermen, lighthouse keepers, lifeboat men and naval heroes.

The trail starts at The Fishermen’s Heritage Centre in Sheringham, home of the Henry Ramey Upcher lifeboat. It then takes you to three maritime museums along the coast, and on to Happisburgh. Here (subject to opening times) you can climb the church tower to see amazing coastal vistas and visit the inside of the Happisburgh lighthouse.

The trail ends at Waxham Great Barn, which houses a permanent historical display on the theme of coastal life in the area.
