Self-Catering Cottages Near Bewilderwood

Ten miles away from Boundary Stables you will find Bewilderwood, one of the best family attractions our region has to offer! This magical, award winning outdoor, woodland adventure park in Hoveton, is surrounded by the untouched landscape of the Norfolk Broads.

Bewilderwood is the vision of children’s author Tom Blofeld, with themed areas based on characters and scenes in his books that bring to life this enchanted fictional world. There are daily story telling sessions, special seasonal events, and den building, where children are invited to join in.

Though Bewilderwood is ideal for children aged two to twelve years old, it is very much a family day out and parents and grandparents are welcome to enjoy the park as much as their children. Bewilderwood is open almost every day from February half-term to the end of October half-term, 10 AM -5.30 pm, be sure check their website for more details and special events.

Being outdoors with plenty of climbing, sliding, boating to name a few, you’re bound to get a bit mucky so make sure you wear comfortable clothes, or bring a change of clothes if the weather isn’t great. There’s the Snack Shack, the Munch Bar and the Cosy Cabin once you’ve built up an appetite and you can also bring yourself a picnic. With so much to explore, it’s easy to spend the whole day there (its recommended to allow at least three hours.)

After an adventurous, long day at Bewilderwood, you can relax with your family in the comfort of one of Boundary Stables’ luxury lodges. Each one is fully furnished with well-equipped kitchens and open plan living areas, so you can make the most of your holiday together.
